What is an eSIM?+
An eSIM (embedded SIM) is a digital SIM card built into your device. Unlike a physical SIM, it can be activated instantly by scanning a QR code or entering a code manually — no waiting for delivery, no swapping cards.
Which devices support eSIM?+
Most modern smartphones support eSIM, including iPhone XS and later, Google Pixel 3 and later, Samsung Galaxy S20 and later, and many other Android flagships. Check your device settings under "Mobile Data" or "SIM Cards" to confirm. Tablets and some laptops also support eSIM.
How do I activate my eSIM?+
After purchase you will receive a QR code by email. On iOS: go to Settings → Mobile Service → Add eSIM and scan the QR code. On Android: go to Settings → Network & Internet → SIMs → Add SIM and scan the QR code. You can also enter the SMDP Address and Activation Code manually. How long does delivery take?+
Delivery is instant. Your eSIM QR code and activation details are sent to your email immediately after payment is confirmed — 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Can I use the eSIM in multiple countries?+
It depends on the plan. Regional and global plans cover multiple countries and automatically connect to local networks as you travel. Country-specific plans work only in the listed country. Each plan page clearly states the coverage area.
What happens if my eSIM doesn't work?+
First, check that your device is eSIM-compatible and that you have not already used the activation QR code on another device — each code can only be installed once. If you still have issues, contact us at support@touribo.com and we will resolve it within 24 hours.
Do I need to cancel my current SIM?+
No. An eSIM runs alongside your existing physical SIM. You can keep your home number active for calls and texts while using the eSIM for data abroad. Most devices allow you to set a preferred SIM for data independently.
Can I top up my eSIM?+
Top-up availability depends on the carrier behind the plan. Some plans allow a top-up when data runs out; others require purchasing a new plan. This is noted on the individual plan page. You can also browse our Mobile Top-Up section for top-up options.
