How to Activate
Your eSIM
Your eSIM QR code arrives by email immediately after purchase. Follow the steps below for your device. If you run into any trouble, contact support.
Check compatibility
Make sure your iPhone is unlocked and supports eSIM. Go to Settings → General → About and look for "Available SIM" or "eSIM" near the bottom of the page.
Open eSIM settings
Go to Settings → Mobile Service (or Cellular) → Add eSIM. On newer iPhones you may see "Add Mobile Plan".
Scan the QR code
Tap "Use QR Code" and point your camera at the QR code in your confirmation email. Keep a second device handy to display the email.
Confirm installation
Tap "Continue" when prompted to add the plan. The eSIM will be downloaded and installed — this takes a few seconds.
Set data preference
Go to Settings → Mobile Service → Mobile Data and select your new Touribo eSIM as the data plan. You can keep your physical SIM active for calls and texts.
Enable data roaming
Tap your Touribo plan and enable "Data Roaming" so it activates when you arrive in the destination country.
Check compatibility
Confirm your device is unlocked and eSIM-capable. Most Android flagships from 2019 onwards support eSIM. Check Settings → Network & Internet → SIMs for an "Add SIM" option.
Open SIM settings
Go to Settings → Network & Internet (or Connections) → SIMs → Add SIM (or "+" icon). The exact path varies by manufacturer.
Scan the QR code
Select "Scan QR code from carrier" and point your camera at the QR code in your confirmation email. Use a second device to display the email.
Confirm installation
Follow the on-screen prompts to download and install the eSIM profile. This usually takes under 30 seconds.
Set as mobile data
Once installed, go to Settings → Network & Internet → SIMs and set your Touribo eSIM as the preferred SIM for mobile data.
Enable roaming
Tap your Touribo eSIM entry and enable "Roaming" or "International data roaming". This is required for the plan to work abroad.
Manual Entry Method
SMDP Address + Activation Code
If you can't scan the QR code — for example because you only have one device — you can enter the details manually. Your confirmation email contains both values.
iOS
- Settings → Mobile Service → Add eSIM
- Tap "Enter Details Manually"
- Enter SM-DP+ Address (SMDP Address)
- Enter Activation Code
- Tap "Next" to install
Android
- Settings → Network & Internet → SIMs → Add SIM
- Tap "Enter manually" or "Need help?"
- Enter SM-DP+ Address
- Enter Activation Code
- Confirm and install
